Student work: Ratatouille

by Marianne Moor (Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Kamp-Lintfort, Germany)

Ratatouille—a vegetarian dish—was Marianne’s chosen recipe. A relatively easy and quick recipe, Marianne focused on experiments with step-by-step instructions. Marianne’s starting point was to make the actual recipe and document the whole process photographically. This method of data logging allowed her to assess the detail of tasks and determine what was of visual significance and what was unnecessary. The final outcome is an illustrative large format silkscreen printed poster. The limited colour palette compliments the arrangement of elements and utilises well the printing process.
